Classic Cars Rolled into Fayette for Festival

car show posterThe Fayette Festival of the Arts Classic Car Show was once again a crowd favorite, bringing the shine of polished chrome, the rumble of classic engines, and plenty of memories to downtown Fayette. Held on Davis Street adjacent to the Howard County Courthouse Square, the show featured a variety of vehicles ranging from beautifully restored classics to survivor cars that have been carefully preserved through the years.

Sponsored by Community Auto Sales and Service, the Classic Car Show attracted car enthusiasts and festival visitors who enjoyed admiring the vehicles, visiting with owners, and hearing the stories behind each automobile. For many participants, the show was about much more than horsepower and appearance—it was a celebration of family memories, restoration projects, first cars, and treasured pieces of automotive history.

Visitors had the opportunity to vote in the People's Choice competition, while trophies were awarded in the categories of 1970s and Before (Larry and Michelle Ishmael - 1923 F0rd T-Bucket), 1970s and Up (Chester Bias - 1974 Dunne Buggy), Survivor (Larry andMichelleIshmael, 1956 Ford Fairlan Victoria) , and People's Choice (Larry and Michelle Ishmael - 1923 F0rd T-Bucket) . The variety of entries showcased the passion and dedication of area car owners and added another exciting attraction to the Fayette Festival of the Arts.
